Do you understand Federal, State and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws?
This Course was developed to help supervisors, front line leaders, managers, HR professionals, and more understand the current laws and how they should be applied in the workplace. Attendees will learn about their obligations to identify and prevent discriminatory work practices. Discussion focuses on policies prohibiting discrimination against an associate because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disabling condition. Associates will also identify issues which may arise under the Family and Medical Leave Act
How You Will Benefit
We live in an increasingly challenging time to go to work. That’s true for everyone in the workplace, and especially so for those in supervisor roles. Harassment claims are more prevalent than ever before; workplace violence is on the rise; and increased litigation and regulation have made navigating the day-to-day challenges difficult at best and a nightmare at worst. That said, these challenges are not insurmountable. With a basic understanding of labor and employment law, you can position yourself and your organization for continued success.
In this course, we will break down the basics of employment and labor laws that you may realistically encounter. We will address the tenets we believe every member of an organization should understand and real-world case studies that will provide context and understanding. This course is a primer on a vast number of employment topics.
