Senior Training & Development Specialist with American Trim and Alutrim; six North American locations and a facility in Monterey, Mexico- Managing the design, development and delivery of company, business unit and functional training & organizational developmental solutions.

Prior to Alutrim & American Trim- Seven years with Yamada North America- Training Manager/ Performance consultant role; origination of formal training department, evaluating for improvement, plan, develop, implement, coordinate, conduct and lead training activities associated with all Management, Staff, Team Leader & Associate levels in all departmental areas of company.

Twenty years with Procter & Gamble/ The Iams Company- Training Manager/ Performance consultant role managing corporate training & safety programs at six North American locations and a European facility in Coevorden, the Netherlands for 1200+ manufacturing employee customer group; after multiple roles in manufacturing & human resources management.  After Iams, seven years with ISUS Institutes charter high school in Dayton, OH as a guidance/career placement counselor and life skills & work readiness teacher, working with 16-22 year old “At Risk” students.

Professional Certifications: DDI –Development Dimensions International facilitator, AchieveGlobal facilitator including for Honda’s Generations/Resolving Conflict and Honda’s Leadership series: BGL, GL1 & GL2.  Also, facilitator of Honda’s Basic Quality Tools, 5Ps of Problem Solving and Effective Communication Skills; OSHA Compliance -501: facilitator of OSHA 30-Hour & OSHA 10-Hour classes and Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens & Casey Life Skills.

Coordinator in the General Administration department of Honda Accessory America, LLC (HAA-O).   Responsible for organizing and providing training support to associates as needed.  Also responsible for on-boarding of new associates and development of training plan for the Ohio Office.

Prior to joining HAA, I worked at Ada Technologies Inc. (ATI) as the Training Coordinator.  At ATI, I developed the new hire orientation for all new associates involving the quality side training.  Created hands on training using micrometer, caliper, height gage, bore gage, snap gage and uni-micrometer for associates to practice measuring actual parts.  Incorporated PQCTs and quality control into the class to simulate the manufacturing floor as much as possible.  Also taught soft skills such as leadership and communication classes.

Previously taught for 6 years as a school teacher in 3rd grade, 4th grade and 6th grade.

Certified Development Dimensions International (DDI) facilitator and in Honda’s Effective Communication Skills, Basic Quality Tools and the 5 Principles of Problem Solving.

I am fairly new to the Training Advisory Board.
My background is in Athletics Administration and Compliance.
My responsibilities at Stanley Electric include: New Hire Orientation, our Suggestion and EZ Solution Program, SUS Quality Circle Program, Organizing training and recertification for our skilled, technical, and administrative positions, and I am working to develop an Associate Engagement Program. I serve not only on TAB, but the Circle Assistance Network (CAN) as the Secretary. I have two sons, one of whom is in the United States Air Force.
